Christ the Kings School Dance Project
This was shot with choreographer Shannon Bott in May and used as a backing for a special concert with the Melbourne SYmphony Orchestra at the Hamer Hall. Comissioned by 'The Song Room', it tells a compelling short multicultural story and remains on their short list of favourite video for 2008
The Boite Schools Concert 2007 - Nongoma
We filmed two concerts of African music with huge children's choirs in
Dallas Brooks Hall. Both concerts are now on DVD for the use of
Schools, parents and
students. The concerts are promoted by the Boite to increase awareness
of different cultural groups within Australia.
The Song Room Big Sensation Concert 2007
We were approached at the last minute to film a concert at the Melbourne Town Hall which was attended by 1500 schoolchildren and featured about 300 child performers. The various schools were arranged in a hexagon on the floor with the audience looking down. There was also a small band of 8 musicians.
The DVD has been pressed and distributed to the schools involved and other interested parties.
